Roseanne Barr has once against spoken out about the cancellation of Roseanne at ABC, placing blame directly on her former television daughter Sara Gilbert. After the tweet had made the rounds and many were calling Roseanne racist online and pressuring ABC, the network held an emergency call with Barr, Werner, and Disney/ABC Television Group President Ben Sherwood, who questioned why Barr tweeted what she did.
However, in a recent interview with The Washington Post, Barr seems to have changed her tune. "She will never get enough until she consumes my liver with a fine Chianti".
Gilbert didn't respond to her comment directly, stating, "While I'm extremely disappointed and heartbroken over the dissolution of the original show, she will always be family, and I will always love Roseanne", she was quoted by the Post as saying.
And the actress has good reason not to care, asides from the fact that it was Roseanne's own poor choice of words that made ABC nix her sitcom.
Sarah Gilbert as Darlene with her TV mum, Roseanne Conner, played by Roseanne Barr.
"I didn't want her to get in trouble before the show even started", Thomas said. "I am disappointed in her actions to say the least", Gilbert tweeted at the time.More news: CVS to sell cannabis-based products in Kentucky

Along with coming after Gilbert, the 66-year-old is rallying against the deal she signed with ABC nearly one year ago that allowed The Conners spin-off to happen.
"It was always this back and forth of ABC not wanting to appear they were censoring Roseanne but also not quite pulling out the big guns", James Moore, Barr's longtime publicist, told the Post.
At 2.45am on May 29, 2018, that tweet came - "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj" - and the rest is history. "Going, 'You're one tweet away from us canceling the show'".
"Shmuley saved my life", Barr says. She can't let go of what happened, primarily as the spin-off show has found success without Barr and the main character of Roseanne.
Meanwhile, The Conners reportedly has been renewed for a second season.
