Hate the Galaxy S10 Punch Hole? Here's Samsung's Plan to Kill It

The report comes less than a month after Samsung debuted its latest line of flagship smartphones. Wouldnt it awesome to hold a phone having a full screen?

"Though it wouldn't be possible to make (a full-screen smartphone) in the next 1-2 years, the technology can move forward to the point where the camera hole will be invisible, while not affecting the camera's function in any way", Yang was quoted as saying by Yonhap.

Samsung's newest device lineup includes the Galaxy S10, which is the first smartphone to feature its futuristic "Infinity O" display. Maybe Samsung. Like in-display fingerprint sensors, Samsung says it's working to embed the selfie camera underneath the screen for future phones. There was a time when camera phone was just fiction and we used to hear that soon we will be able to see people on mobile who would be sitting at far distances. While Samsung is attempting to manufacture a ideal display, other OEMs have been trying to eliminate ports and buttons for a more seamless design. Samsung's previous generation Galaxy S9 didn't have a notch, but instead had a bezel that stretched across the top of the phone above its screen. Samsung calls this its "Infinity O" display, and it allows the company to expand the size of the phones' screen without sacrificing its front-facing cameras.

Yang said the company is also considering development of Crystal Sound OLED display, which can make the screen double as a speaker. I've always been extra critical of Samsung's inadequacy at optimizing its software compared to others here at SamMobile, but I've found fewer reasons to complain in the last couple of years.

Samsung's ultimate goal is create a smartphone with all of sensors embedded beneath the screen.
