Twitter Roasts Full House’s Aunt Becky For Involvement in College Admissions Scandal

The Boston Globe reports that former PIMCO chief executive Douglas Hodge was released Wednesday on $500,000 bond after briefly appearing in federal court in Boston.

The daughters of "Full House" actress Lori Loughlin became targets of scorn on social media on Tuesday after their mother was charged in an alleged scheme to help privileged Americans get their children into elite universities by fraudulent means.

"I'd like to maybe sit with you after your session with the girls as I have some concerns and want to fully understand the game plan and make sure we have a roadmap for success as it related to [our daughter] and getting her into a school other than ASU [Arizona State University]!". Unlike her husband, the judge allowed Loughlin to retain her passport until the end of the year so she could travel to Vancouver, BC for scheduled work. Other parents involved in the nationwide scam reportedly paid to have special proctors help their children cheat on standardized tests like the ACT and the Saturday.

She's among 40 actresses and CEOs charged, including "Desperate Housewives" alum Felicity Huffman. According to court documents, the two allegedly paid money to have Olivia and Isabella deemed as recruits for the University of Southern California's crew team, despite them never actually participating in the sport once classes began.

It's also not clear whether any of the students in this scandal will face charges.

The coaches were paid by the parents to lie and say that the children were being considered as athletic recruits because the admission process is generally less stringent for athletes, prosecutors said.

The parents charged in the case include CEOs, real estate investors, and the co-chair of a global law firm.

The indictment, which covers activity that started in 2011, included accusations of bribes to get students into Yale University, Stanford University, the University of California, Los Angeles, and Georgetown University.

Loughlin was taken into custody by FBI agents in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning, Laura Eimiller, a spokeswoman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, said.

"CAPTION THIS: 'It's ok honey".

"And I also say to them, try to have something else right now, because there's so much crossover in the business", she added.

Ben Dreyfuss, the son of veteran actor Richard Dreyfuss, quipped: "I got into college the old fashioned way: by letting my father's celebrity speak for itself".

"They are really great people", she went on saying of Lori.

A successful social media influencer with millions of followers across platforms, Olivia Jade even appears to have leveraged her newfound status as a college student to attract advertisers.

"Please do a video for how you prepared for the SATs", read one comment.

Loughlin's younger daughter, Olivia Jade, has a YouTube Channel and in a video that surfaced after the allegations about the college bribe scam hit, she bragged about going to college to party.
