Odell Beckham Jr. brings big name, big plays to Browns

However, there's no doubt the Browns will be one most talked about teams heading into next season, with everyone anxious to see how this new explosive offseason pans out on the field.

Last night, the National Football League world was in a state of shock as the news broke that star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr, had been traded from the New York Giants to the Cleveland Browns.

As it played out, Gettleman got rid of the receiver before he even turned 27.

The return is an average one at best for a player the caliber of Beckham Jr, and the evaluation of it all depends on if the Giants hit on the draft picks and if Peppers can produce with the G-men. They have the Bears, Saints and defending Super Bowl champion Patriots on the road.

Mara, Gettleman and Shurmur ultimately threw up their hands and said enough's enough.

All aboard the Cleveland Browns hype train.

The Giants will get a second chance to draft a quarterback this year, with the No. 6 overall pick. "The running back, [Saquon] Barkley, is a first-ballot Hall of Famer if he stays healthy, but the problem is he's not a quarterback". They finished 5-11 with that plan. That likely means drafting a new, hopeful franchise QB in the upcoming draft and being bad for a few years to add more talent.

Landry has tallied at least 976 receiving yards in all but one of his five professional seasons (his rookie year), catching 481 passes for 5,014 yards and 26 touchdowns in that span (80 games). Beckham was an incredible steal as the 12th pick of the 2014 draft, and the Giants had to try everything to keep him for the long term.
