Bright colours, whimsical magic and familiar songs come together to sprinkle your day with the ideal combination of nostalgia and anticipation.

With Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott taking on the roles of Aladdin and Jasmine, respectively, and Marwan Kenzari providing an absolutely sinister Jafar, the Agrabah-set film will give the wish-and-warlock adventure plenty of new life. Hearing stars Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud croon that song transported many folks back to their childhood ... and will nearly certainly make it a karaoke staple all over again. Check it out for yourself.

Aladdin releases on May 24. Will Smith's much-criticized Genie look is finally fixed in this sneak peek but there are never-before-seen shots of other fan-favorites like Aladdin's trusty sidekick Abu and the Magic Carpet.

Robin Williams had famously voiced Genie in the 1992 animated version. It may seem like a small nitpick, but it points to what could be fundamental flaws in Disney's conception of this new Aladdin. Fans even get to hear part of Genie's signature song "Friend Like Me". The studio also has a live-action Lion King and Mulan in development, as well as a sequel to the Jungle Book.

You'll recall when the half-human/half-CGI character - basically just Smith's dad bod painted blue - was revealed in a trailer in February, the reaction ranged from perplexed to horrified, all of it bad.

The brand new trailer and poster for Disney's live-action adaptation of Aladdin, directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Will Smith, Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott, is here! "So, I think people are going to love it".
