The Chinese internet company is yet to officially announce the launch timeline of the Redmi 7, but considering the rumours flooding the internet, it looks like the phone may go official very soon. This also indicates that the phone will have a notch design on the front.

Xiaomi's special event takes place on March 18 in China and the Redmi 7 is expected to make an official debut. The smartphone will be available via Flipkart and Mi.com/in, and the flash sale will begin at 12:00PM.

The smartphone was unveiled alongside the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Rest of the elements such as location of fingerprint sensor, volume buttons and power button remain the same as Xiaomi's last year's Redmi 6 Pro.

Redmi Note 7 is priced at Rs 9,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage variant, whereas the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model is priced at Rs 11,999.

The Redmi Note 7 flaunts a 6.3-inch display with FHD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution, and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9.

The photography department comprises a dual camera module with a 12MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary depth sensor for bokeh effect. The phone is driven by the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC paired with Adreno 512 graphics, and 3GB and 4GB RAM options.

The Redmi 7 continues on with a microUSB port instead of moving forward with a USB Type-C port.

In addition, some key specifications of the Redmi 7 were also revealed through the TENAA listing. Xiaomi will be releasing multiple variants of the device with RAM options of 2/3/4GB and storage options of 16/32/64GB, so the phone should cover several price points.

Coming to the cameras, the Redmi 7 will have a dual camera setup on the back and a single selfie camera on the front.

The smartphone will ship with a 3,900 mAh battery and will be offered in eight colors - black, red, blue, pink, white, green, purple, and gray.
