Ariana Grande & Starbucks Cloud Macchiato Drink: Full Story

"We've always been fans of Ariana Grande's (and we're both fans of Clouds), so we're excited to work with her to celebrate the debut of Cloud Macchiato", Starbucks told USA Today over how the fluffy drink came to brew. The drink is available iced or hot in both flavors.

The "7 Rings" singer had teased the drink on Twitter on Monday.

The Grande-curated drink, however, is only available in participating United States and Canada branches.

Now, Starbucks has officially announced the collaboration - the Cloud Macchiato.

And if you think this was just the coffee chain having some fun, we did too until we saw Grande's own tweets, and even an Instagram story, with a screenshot of the tweet set over a background of clouds.

The espresso-based beverage is made with cold whipped foam and a cinnamon caramel drizzle.

With hints of lemon as well, this is one drink that is unlike any other that came before it. In the photos she's having one of the iced beverages with shiny metal green straw with dogs around her. Part of what gives the drink its fluffy texture are egg whites that are incorporated into the drink. Well, she loves Starbucks and starting this weekend, you will hear her over the speakers on the coffeehouses playlist. Of course the company couldn't leave it at that, as they replied with lyrics from Grande's song, "No Tears Left To Cry". She launched a Cloud perfume in February, Business Insider noted. "The celebration will continue next week with a playlist in our stores that features Ariana's favorite music (including some of her hits) as one of multiple playlists available in our USA and Canada stores", a Starbucks rep told Us Weekly. It's unclear whether the release of the Grande-collaboration drink and the celebration of women are connected.
