Usher, Rich the Kid, and their entourage came under attack on Tuesday. The West Hollywood Sheriff's Station watch commander said it was in the 7100 block of Santa Monica Boulevard and that there were reports shots were fired. Although Usher was in the Westlake Recording Studio at the time the incident took place, he was not involved in any way.

It remains unclear if anyone was hit when the suspect opened fire.

L.A. County Sheriff's deputies are now on the scene, searching for suspects and collecting evidence.

Hours before the attack, Rich posted a picture of himself holding a stack of cash standing in front of a Lamborghini with the caption "For motivational purposes only".

Four gold chains are seen hanging around his neck in the photo, and two gold bracelets and a watch adorn one of his wrists.

Rich the Kid's team have confirmed he is "OK", and the assault victims were treated for minor injuries; no one was admitted to the hospital.

The suspects robbed the entourage of cash and jewelry. As of now, however, it appears both Usher and Rich the Kid escaped unharmed. They were reportedly carrying guns.

The famous studio has been home to recordings by artists like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Shakira, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, and Quincy Jones in the past.
