Watch Elsa ride icy waves in first Frozen 2 trailer

Disney released the long-awaited Frozen 2 teaser trailer on Wednesday - and it does not disappoint. Plus, Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown have signed up for as-yet-unnamed roles.

The first teaser shows Queen Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) standing on a murky beach staring stone-faced at giant waves before she runs straight at them, using her freezing powers to run along the surface.

The film brings back directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck with Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez who wrote the songs for the original movie.

The first film was the smash hit of 2013, landing as the highest-grossing animated film of all-time and the highest-grossing film of the year with over $1.2 billion grossed worldwide.

"At last, I can say - FROZEN 2!" The title inspired a global frenzy for Frozen merchandise, spin-offs, and a Broadway musical.

In late January the reunited ensemble of the original Frozen had already begun teasing the film on Twitter and Instagram.

Penned by Allison Schroeder (Christopher Robin), Frozen 2 arrives in theaters November 22, 2019.
