'Handmaid's Tale' Season 3 Super Bowl trailer

That's why it's no surprise that The Handmaid's Tale chose to use a presidential speech in a trailer for season 3 of the Hulu smash.

The trailer is similar in tone to Ronald Reagan's famous 1984 "It's Morning in America" presidential campaign ad.

A release date for season 3 of The Handmaid's Tale has yet to be confirmed.

The commercial eventually reveals more elements of dread, showing a scene depicting the Washington Monument as a giant cross, with "WAKE UP AMERICA". However, June isn't done fighting. The trailer gives all-new glimpses of season 3, including June back in her red cloak. Not by a long shot.

Hulu has not yet announced when the third season will debut, but if past seasons are any indication, this should premiere sometime this spring. Emily took June's infant daughter and left for Canada. Elisabeth Moss's character warns in the final moments of the trailer, "Wake up, America".

Super Bowl 53 is airing live from Atlanta on CBS.

The two-time Golden Globe victor 's character June Osborne/Offred was Gilead's most-wanted fertile slave deserter yet she still has to secretly retrieve her estranged daughter Hannah (Jordana Blake). Newcomers Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit) and Elizabeth Reaser (The Haunting Of Hill House) will be joining cast, which also features Joseph Fiennes, Alexis Bledel, Madeline Brewer, Ann Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Max Minghella, Samira Wiley, and Bradley Whitford.
