Fortnite Brought In 10 Million Players During Marshmello Concert

Saturday, February 2nd saw Epic Games and EDM Musician Marshmellow put on an unbelievable in-game live concert in Fortnite that definitely lived up to all of the expectations built by the community leading up to Saturday's Fortnite Marshmellow live concert event that took place in the new Showtime Squads Limited Time Mode or LTM. "So insane, thank you Epic Games and everyone who made this possible!"

Of course, it's not exactly fair to compare an online event such as 'Mello's Pleasant Park set with real-world shows, where you have to fit actual people into real space, but let's just consider it for a moment. From there, players/concertgoers could enter "Showtime" mode, which took you to the in-game location Pleasant Park, where players could sit back, relax and enjoy the 10-minute show.

The remaining two Showtime Challenges remain locked as of this writing, but will presumably become available tomorrow.

If you're keen to see the gig for yourself, you'll have to get up nice and early on Sunday morning, so maybe plan a quiet Saturday night. Plus, it's also unclear how long they'll be active once the concert ends.

League of Legends developer Riot Games has been using the success of its virtual K-Pop group K/DA to pivot into a "full-fledged music studio" after their song POP / STARS debuted at number one on the Billboard world digital song sales chart in November.

That's all you need to know to watch the Showtime event as it happens! The Showtime Event takes place at 2 p.m. EST on all platforms.
