HBO's titanic hit series Game of Thrones is coming back for its eighth and final season this spring. The reaction I had while watching them was, 'I'm watching a movie, '"HBO CEO Richard Plelper reportedly told guests at a 2019 Golden Globes afterparty". They've exceeded the bar.

In the tease, which was directed by David Nutter (a "Game of Thrones" veteran director, who did the fifth season finale), Jon meets up with Arya and Sansa in the Winterfell crypts. Notably, Jon and Daenerys still have no idea they are related. Winter has come, and that wind from an ice dragon's wings is cutting straight to the core of Game of Thrones fans everywhere. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the cast is set to feature the likes of Naomi Ackie, Jamie Campbell, Denise Gough, Alex Sharp, and Ivanno Jeremiah while, notably, Naomi Watts and Josh Whitehouse have also been cast. The service had previously said only that the show will return in April.
