LaFleur became the 15th head coach for the Packers' franchise, after being interviewed on Sunday.
"He's a quality coach and I'm glad we got him", said Bill Schmid, 105.7 The Fan.
"The conversation went great", LaFleur said.
"I said "you know I think he's our top candidate" and Brian said "he's my top candidate" said Murphy. And I think that holds true for me as well.
With a new head coach, fans said they're eager to get back on the winning side of the game, hopeful Coach LaFleur will lead the Packers to victory.
"I thought we were going to get in a vehicle accident", said LaFleur, who was introduced Wednesday afternoon as the 15th head coach in Packers franchise history.More news: Drip, Drip, Drip: Ex-Sanders Staffer Accuses Top Aide Of Sexual Assault

LaFleur said he hasn't made any decisions on his coaching staff but plans to meet with several coaches under contract in Green Bay, including defensive coordinator Mike Pettine. "We're also excited about the person - he is bright with a great work ethic and a flawless fit for Green Bay and the organisation". There's a lot of work to be done in front of us, but I'm just looking forward to that opportunity.
The development means quarterback Marcus Mariota will have yet another offensive coordinator - his fifth, as he heads into his fifth season. "So in my mind, that was something that as we went through the process, was kind of in the back of my mind, is there something we can do that can kind of shake people up so we don't have the complacency".
Ryan's quarterbacks coach that year? Ryan was named MVP that 2016 season.
The 39-year-old earned his first National Football League coaching job in 2008 when he was named the Houston Texans' offensive quality control coach, a position he held for two years before being hired by the Washington Redskins as quarterbacks coach in 2010.
With a sterling reputation and a great history with QBs, the Packers on first glance have knocked it out of the park with their fifteenth head coach. "We're excited to get started". Again, it comes down to developing that relationship, that trust, especially with the quarterback.
"I can't wait to get to work with him", LaFleur said.
"First thing that Matt said was I'm speechless, I knew then that this was genuine excitement", Murphy said. Murphy couldn't stop smiling, and jumped in several times to tell stories about LaFleur.
