Police in Utah say a teen participating in the latest viral challenge caused a crash.
The Layton Police Police Department tweeted two photos of the crash, which it said occurred Monday.
"Bird Box Challenge while driving... predictable result", the department stated. The Layton Police Department reported no injuries were associated with the crash.
The challenge is based on the hit Netflix movie starring Sandra Bullock where characters must constantly be blindfolded to avoid visions that urge them to commit suicide.
This viral challenge mirrors the premise of the Sandra Bullock-led horror that sees survivors utilize blindfolds to navigate a post-apocalyptic hellscape, lest they spot a malevolent force that turns its victims suicidal.More news: New software could crack down on Netflix users sharing passwords

That's when she veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle.
Amazingly, no one was injured-though this story could have had a much darker tone had she struck the innocent driver head-on.
"It's just inexcusable to do something as unsafe as this, not only to yourself but everyone else on the road", said police Lt Travis Lyman, quoted by KSL.com.
However, police have requested that the driver be charged with reckless driving, Lt Lyman said. "It really puts everybody at risk", said Travis Lyman of the Layton police. Netflix even issued a warning about the challenge in a tweet, saying, "Can't believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE".
Earlier this month, Netflix warned its viewers against the "Bird Box" challenge.
