Google Assistant on Track to Soon Hit a Billion Devices Milestone


The Interpreter mode can be accessed by saying "Hey Google, be my French Interpreter" if the user wants to converse in French with someone who doesn't speak French.

As well, Google is piloting the new feature at Dream Downtown in New York City and Hyatt Regency in San Francisco. Beta testing for the new feature has already begun, allowing Google's Siri-competitor to be the main voice input on some Sonos speaker models.

This Smart Clock - unveiled at CES 2019 - comes with 4-inch touchscreen and will go on sale this Spring with a price-tag of $79 (roughly Rs. 5,500). The Assistant is also shipped on millions of Google Home speakers quarterly. Despite that weirdness, it's still a solid free update for Dish Hopper owners, although neither Dish nor Google have said yet when it'll arrive.

Google has announced Yesterday at CES some new features for its virtual personal assistant, Google Assistant.

As of Tuesday, the Google Assistant started rolling out in Google Maps for Android and iOS to help users navigate. After opting-in through your settings, you can ask your Google Assistant to show restaurants nearby, set up and dismiss alarms, schedule reminders and timers without unlocking your phone.
