Queen tweets heartwarming Golden Globes post with Rami Malek

Bohemian Rhapsody won Best Motion Picture - Drama at the 2019 Golden Globes on Sunday night and it has caused quite a debate in movie land.

Singer has always been a controversial figure in the movie industry with a history of disruptive on-set behaviour, including on Bohemian Rhapsody, from which he was sacked and was replaced by Dexter Fletcher who completed the shoot. "He's a massive Queen fan", Malek said, noting that many stars came up to him and the band members of Queen who also attended the annual awards show.

"I had not seen that", an embarrassed Malek said through his hands.

The latest award received for the role of Freddie mercury - Rami Malek.

Queen musical "Bohemian Rhapsody" and USA segregation-era comedy "Green Book" took home the top Golden Globes on Sunday on a night of upsets that saw presumed favorite "A Star is Born" largely shut out, and big wins for Netflix.

But it wasn't all doom and gloom for the stars attached to A Star is Born, which was nominated for five awards including Best Actor, Picture, Actress and Director, as it walked away with Best Original Song for "Shallow". "It was a insane thing to know someone so well and just be who are you?" he said.

Rami Malek previously told Radio X that he didn't "want to let Freddie down".

Bohemian Rhapsody The biggest music biopic of all time will receive its home release in March, starring Rami Malek, Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello and Lucy Boynton.

Earlier in the evening, a beaming Malek won Best Actor for his role in the movie.

He dedicated his award to his "extraordinary, wonderful wife Catherine" - that's Catherine Zeta Jones - and his 102-year-old father Kirk.

The list of winners of the 76th Golden Globes Awards is already out.

In his acceptance speech, the actor praised the band Queen and especially Mercury, reported E!
