The mid-range Pixels are expected to be released in spring 2019


Sources close to the matter have revealed to Android Police that the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL will be launched in the U.S. in early Spring 2019. Launching the Pixel 3 Lite first on Verizon makes sense because the US carrier has been Google's exclusive Pixel partner since 2016. However, there is still no word on the exact launch date.

Reports of Google developing a more affordable version of its Pixel 3 phone range has been hitting headlines for some time already.

Tech giant Google launched its flagship smartphones called Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL this year.

According to the leaks the rumored specs of the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite, they are expected to come with 18.5:9 aspect ratio with a trimmed down display size of 5.5-inch on the Pixel 3 Lite while the Pixel 3XL Lite could be coming with a 6-inch screen. If you are surprised about the Pixel 3 being in the middle of the list, you are not alone. You should not miss the 3.5mm audio jack. It is expected that the Lite series phones will also enjoy the privilege of getting the latest software updates before anyone else.

Last month, alleged images of the Pixel 3 Lite surfaced, suggesting the development of a mid-range phone.

Furthermore, there could either be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 or a Snapdragon 710 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage.

In terms of global availability there's more sense in launching these phones in emerging markets where a cheaper priced Pixel is needed, though everyone does love a bargain so if they're well priced it could make all the difference. The midpoint could be a cheaper "Lite" versions of the Pixel smartphones that may bring a compromise of both worlds.
