Yesterday, reports of a watchOS icon seemingly confirming a new Smart Battery Case for iPhone began making the rounds. This states that the Smart Battery Case will be compatible with the new iPhone models including the iPhone XS, XS Max, iPhone XR and possibly last year's iPhone X as well.
According to Apple's United States online store, the clear case is priced at $39, with online orders placed today estimated for delivery within a few days. Apple describes the case as 'thin, light and easy to grip.' The company also says that the case includes a scratch-resistant coating inside and out and works with wireless Qi chargers. The device features a 12-megapixel camera at the rear and a 7-megapixel front camera. It also comes with other features which includes Optical image stabilization, Phase-detection auto-focus, and Quad-LED dual-tone flash.More news: New Zealand beat Pakistan in third Test to win series

However, it looks as there might actually be three SKUs available - A2070, A2071 and A2171 - to cover the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and the iPhone XR. Stay tuned, because it's increasingly looking like we'll be getting official confirmation soon. The iPhone XR scored 103 in photography, and 96 in video. The site noted that the phone has a good target exposure and reproduces colours such that they are "bold and vivid" under both, indoor and outdoor lighting conditions. If that's Apple's plan, then we could see this case announced and on shelves in a matter of days - after all, Apple will want to have this available in time for people to buy it as a gift.
