Nayantara in the only woman from south India to make it to the 100's list of Forbes' richest Indian celebrity. Shah Rukh Khan who was at the 2nd spot on the 2017 list suffered this year's most dramatic fall. If that's not exciting then this will be - Deepika Padukone has moved up seven places from #11 past year to #4 now. Deepika was a major success this year with Padmaavat breaking major box office records.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan stayed at the top position, for the third year in a row, with earnings of Rs 253.25 crore, while Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli came second and Akshay Kumar stood third, raking in Rs 228.09 crore and Rs 185 crore respectively. Akshay recently starred in Rajinikanth's 2.0, who also features on the list (more on that later). Alia is at 12th place, after singer and musician AR Rehman with total earnings of Rs 66.75 crore at the 11th spot.
Cricket star Mahendra Singh Dhoni rounded up the top five with Rs 101.77 crore, followed by Aamir Khan (Rs 97.50 crore), Amitabh Bachchan (Rs 96.17 crore), Ranveer Singh (Rs 84.7 crore), Sachin Tendulkar (Rs 80.00 crore) and Ajay Devgn (Rs 74.50 crore) making it to the top 10.
Deepika's actor husband Ranveer Singh comes in at number eight, while Virat's actress wife Anushka Sharma occupies the 16th spot.

Fifteen celebrities on the list are from South India - Tamil and Telugu film industries have seven actors each, while Kerala has one.
Nayanthara, the lady superstar of the south has earned Rs 15 crore and is placed at the 69th position.
