Nokia 8.1 specifications, features leaked ahead of December 5 launch


But if you've been paying attention to Chinese phone launches then this might be familiar, as it appears to be a renamed version of the Nokia X7 (a phone that recently launched in China). These posters have highlighted the design elements of the handset along with some of its specifications and features.

Phoenix is the codename for the phone, and the leaked marketing materials (below) confirm the same specifications as the Nokia X7. "Nokia 3.1 Plus is also the latest device to join the Android One Family, delivering a premium experience for everyone". Nokia 8.1 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor clocked at 2.2 Ghz.

Coincidentally, the Nokia 7.1 is expected to make its way to India soon. The device will be available in two hardware variants that contain either 4GB and 6GB of RAM, and consumers may also choose among models that include either 64GB or 128GB of internal flash storage.

Coming to the camera department, the Nokia 7.1 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting a 12-megapixel primary RGB camera with f/1.8 aperture, 1.28 um pixel size, ZEISS optics, dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel monochrome camera with f/2.4 aperture and 1.12um pixel size. The Nokia 8.1 will reportedly ship with Android 9 Pie pre-installed, which means that people can take advantage of useful features like Adaptive Brightness and Adaptive Battery functionalities. The Nokia 3.1 Plus is the most affordable Nokia smartphone with a dual-camera and is the latest device to join the Android One family, delivering the best of Google with monthly security patches. On the front, the device sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.
