Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition Bag False Advertisement Enrages Fans

Anyway, if you're one of the unlucky punters to have bought one of these, worry not, because Bethesda are offering you 500 Atoms as a gesture of good will!

In a support ticket they sent to the Bethesda Gear Helpdesk, they wrote: "The bag included with the Fallout 76 Power Armor edition isn't correct".

Of course, there's a lot of talk on the Web on the game's issues and more recently on the Power Armor Edition. A post by Redditor Fethennour has received over 124K upvotes, which details how Fethennour received a rather crappy-looking nylon bag with his Power Armor Edition instead of the advertised canvas bag. We're confident, with your support, we can make Fallout 76 an incredible experience for years to come. Fans had captured screenshots of interactions with Bethesda customer service that suggested no action was planned at all.

Atoms are Fallout 76's microtransaction currency, and 500 Atoms amounts to $5 or so.

Bethesda's actually-shipped version of this at-first-glance pretty great Collector's Edition doesn't feature a canvas bag like it did in the original reveal.

A massive controversy erupted earlier this week after it was discovered that the $200 Fallout 76 Power Amor Edition comes with a Cheap Nylon Bag instead of the advertised Canvas West Tek Duffel Bag. Well, this wasn't the bag that made the final cut. "We aren't planning on doing anything about it", which is just about the most offensive thing you can say to a customer.

"The Bethesda Store's Support member is a temporary contract employee and not directly employed by Bethesda or Bethesda Game Studios", they said. We hope this doesn't prevent anyone from enjoying what we feel is one of our best collector's editions. 500 Atoms are worth about $5 Dollars.

One player who complained to Bethesda about this received 500 "compensatory" atoms but this doesn't seem to have been a blanket offer for everyone who forked out full price prior to the sales. As some wags have pointed out on Twitter, this is not enough in-game currency to purchase the Post Man skin, which would at least provide players with an in-game canvas bag.
