Porter, who dated Sean "Diddy" Combs for many years, leaves behind four children: Quincy Brown, 27; Christian Casey Combs, 20; D'Lila Star, 11; and Jessie James Combs, 11.

Porter was reportedly taking Saline and vitamins to battle what was thought to be the flu or pneumonia, but authorities are also checking to see if she may have contracted a disease during a recent trip to Africa.

Porter and Combs began dating in 1994, splitting and getting back together several times until breaking up for good in 2007.

According to TMZ, the former model was found dead in her home.

On Thursday, Diddy's rep confirmed Porter's death in a statement to Yahoo. "Another source says Kim had contacted her doctor just yesterday complaining she wasn't feeling any better". The pair stayed friends and continued to raise their children as co-parents.

No cause of death has been revealed.

On Thursday morning, Kim was unresponsive when family members tried to wake her, and paramedics responded to a call for a patient in cardiac arrest. Porter was pronounced dead on the scene.

"They were still a family".

Most celebrities like Diddy and Kimora Lee Simmons immediately made their way to Porter's house after finding out while the rest, like Rihanna, Drake, Teyana Taylor, and Jada Pinkett Smith took to Instagram to share their condolences. "I ask that you give the families privacy at this time".
