Walmart goes public with its Black Friday plans

There are just over two weeks to go until the annual Black Friday sales bonanza begins, tempting shoppers with all manner of discounts and deals galore. The problem is that these items - the very best Walmart Black Friday deals - won't go live until the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, or perhaps on the night of Thanksgiving 2018 itself.

Prior to last years Black Friday sales Amazon had released augmented reality (AR) app AR View for iOS devices, allowing Apple users to try various products at home using the technology. Those deals include an RCA 65-inch Class 4K Ultra HD LED TV for $399, marked down from $899. "It is the biggest shopping and the best shopping day of the year", said Walmart's chief merchandising officer Steve Bratspies during a phone call with reporters.

Here's everything you need to know about Black Friday 2018.

The company has also revealed additional details about how it plans to entice consumers on the big shopping day.

Really, there are hundreds of deals Walmart is planning for November 21, and it all begins hours before Thanksgiving.

Earlier this month, Walmart announced it would station cashiers throughout the stores who will be able to check out shoppers without them having to stand in line. Oh, and Walmart's bitter opponent to the U.S. and global retail crowns has nothing in the pipeline for iPhone XR shoppers/bargain hunters.

Holiday shoppers scored great deals at Walmart on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 in Bentonville, Ark. Stores will open again on Friday morning at 7 a.m.
