So, considering how this particular distribution method worked out well for Bungie when D2 went free for a month on PS4-the game managed to top digital console sales for September-it wouldn't be too surprising if PC fans wind up dropping some coin on the DLCs in order to keep playing.

Now here is a cool free game to grab, Destiny 2 is free for anyone who does not already own the PC game will have the opportunity to claim it as a gift through their Battle.net account.

For those who already own Destiny 2 on PC will receive an exclusive emblem not available anywhere else. Keep in mind, only the base game is free, but this does include all of the balance and economy changes that have happened since launch.

If you have Destiny 2 and none of its expansions, expect to pay almost the same amount with the past expansions costing Rs.1,660 in India ($20 in the US) while Destiny 2: Forsaken sports a Rs. 2,500 price tag ($40 in the US).

Hosted on Battle Net, it has now been confirmed that Destiny 2 will become a free download on PC for a short amount of time. Now, the MMO-like shooter is considered one of the better "live service" titles on the market, thanks to a few well-received DLC packs and a wide array of free content patches.

A Gambit trial will be available for all new players on PC November 9-11.

You won't get the Forsaken expansion, of course.
