Starbucks giving away free reusable cups Friday

All types of Starbucks holiday beverages qualify for the discount: hot, iced, Frappuccino, and steamer. Also back are favorites like the Penguin Cake Pop, Snowman Cookie, and Gingerbread Loaf. The cups will roll out in Starbucks locations on Friday.

A tall Peppermint Mocha cost $4.45, a grande was $4.95, and a venti was $5.45.

When it comes to drink, it's more of the classics you're used to as the weather gets cold and the days get short.

Customers who order a holiday beverage today will get the cup at participating stores while supplies last, according to the company.

There are four new designs: red stripes, a green argyle pattern, red and white flames and one with mistletoe-like coffee cherries in red and green.

Starbucks is also bravely bringing back that iconic, solid red cup-this year in a reusable form (let's hope the cries of "War on Christmas!" don't return as well).

Too bad, because Starbucks announced Thursday morning that its annual holiday cups will be available at locations nationwide starting November 2, along with a slew of seasonal coffee flavors such as Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Gingerbread Latte and Eggnog Latte. Not only did it gauchely unleash the Pumpkin Spice Latte before Labor Day, cutting into rosé's seasonal spotlight, but now, the day after Halloween, it unveiled its holiday cups.

The cups and the festive drinks and eats will be available for customers across the country starting November 2.
