Mayweather has been discussing the idea of a comeback, to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov - after he was recently challenged by the UFC lightweight champion.

Mayweather says his purse for the fight could be double what he earned from a similar showdown with Conor McGregor in 2017.

When asked whether the fight would be a boxing or mixed martial arts contest, Mayweather answered directly.

In comments to the TMZ Sports website, Mayweather was adamant that a fight with Nurmagomedov was "happening" provided it took place in the boxing ring.

"Who's the A-side?! He called me out, so he's got to come to my world". "I can't say what's going on in Khabib's end but I can make it happen on my end". "It's very important. We have something pending there, so let's make the second fight".

White had previously stated that the fighters who were seen attacking Conor McGregor inside the cage during the melee would no longer compete in the UFC. $100 million more, guaranteed... "It could be somewhere upwards of $110 to $200 million guaranteed".

Nurmagomedov and McGregor have temporarily been suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for their roles in the UFC 229 brawl, with a meeting set for October 24 to discuss further penalties.

Mayweather, 41, easily defeated McGregor in their bout in August a year ago even though he is past his prime. He said I didn't knock Conor McGregor down. [But] in the jungle there is only one king.

"Not just in the ring, but outside the ring also - you must conduct yourself like a professional". This time it's Khabib Nurmagomedov who has Mayweather's attention. Of course, I am the king because he can not drop McGregor but I drop him easily.

UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier doesn't think fighting Floyd is a good idea for the Russian UFC star. What is he doing, man?' Cormier told ESPN. "He's going to get beat so bad he is going to start wrestling".

In a direct response to the fact that the Russian cited his second-round knockdown of Conor as a one-up of sorts over him, Mayweather was quick to make it clear that it mattered little.
