Packers star Aaron Rodgers reacts to Vikings tie, gives injury update

As the Green Bay Packers (1-0) prepare to host the rival Minnesota Vikings (1-0) Sunday at noon, it's time to get ready for kick with Dave Schroeder's 'Fast 5 Pack Facts'. Sadly, the game ended in a 29-29 tie after neither team could win the game in overtime and any divisional tiebreaker between the two teams will now rest on the Week 12 head-to-head matchup if they end the regular season with identical records. Both plays were significant considering the game resulted in a tie. The Vikings quarterback completed 35 of 48 passes for 425 yards and four touchdowns, including a 22-yarder to Adam Thielen with 31 seconds left in regulation. Diggs caught 9 passes for 128 yards.

"I'm pretty sore right now, sore in some other spots too so that's taken away some of the knee pain", Rodgers said.

Matthews talked to reporters following the game and expressed frustration with the call. "I don't know. It's a hard call to call".

Referee Tony Corrente told ESPN that Mathews was flagged for driving Cousins into the ground, and that his use of his body weight was not considered. Rodgers got hurt in the second quarter last week against the Bears before returning in the second half to lead a come-from-behind victory. Matthews' penalty on a 4th-down stop late last week could have cost the Packers the win.

Thielen's partner in crime, Stefon Diggs, caught the two-point conversion right after to tie the game at 29.

The Packers (1-0-1), though, could have used more touchdowns from the offense.

The most effective unit for the Packers defense on the day was the interior linemen.

Carlson missed a 49-yard field goal on the first possession of overtime. "I still think they should trade him". "You've got a target area the size of a strike zone and then you can't fall on top of them, and then you can't hit them in the knees, and you can't hit them low and you can't hit them in the head so you have to hit them in the strike zone and then you can't fall on them". But missing a 35-yarder from between the hashes is inexcusable. Crosby had three field goals in the fourth quarter.

"We're disappointed with the outcome".
