Apple on Wednesday unveiled its latest Apple Watch, which includes an FDA-approved electrocardiogram (ECG) app that will allow users to record and monitor their heart activity.

The iPhone Xr is prices starting at $749 for the 64GB model.

Apple previewed AirPower previous year, showing a flat pad the company said could wirelessly charge devices such as an Apple Watch, iPhone, and AirPods case all at once.

That's according to The Verge and All Things How, which both dug into the Apple website's product sitemap XML file - the code powering the website - and found several direct references to the three devices.

While many of them will undoubtedly plump for the iPhone XS, that high price will mean some consumers will hold off.

And like the XS and XS MAX, the XR features Smart HDR, which preserves better highlight and shadow details across photos.

This year's three top phones are all more expensive than last year's models.

"Apple, once again, has shown their mastery of pricing tiers, which will extract more revenue per customer", analyst Gene Munster of Loup Ventures wrote in a note.

Chatting is sent over either Wi-Fi or cellular data depending on what you have enabled - and which model of Apple Watch you have. In its financial reports, Apple doesn't break down its phone sales per region, but it would be interesting to see how these prices will affect its sales outside of the U.S.

Apple's annual September press conference kicked off on Wednesday at the Steve Jobs Theater on its circular Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.

What Apple took away, however, was an low-priced way to enter its smartphone ecosystem.

The iPhone XR will come in six colours: white, black, yellow, blue, coral and a special Product (Red) edition from the off.

The iPhone XS and larger XS Max are Apple's latest flagship devices.

The US Food and Drug Administration said it worked with Apple to develop apps for the Apple Watch. The new 12 megapixel cameras have bigger sensors and an improved HDR mode. The cheaper phone also is expected to lose the home button. Overall, its size is halfway between an iPhone 8 and an 8 Plus. Apple promised a few other improvements over last year's model that will require some real-world tests to vet: better cameras, a faster processor and a slightly longer battery life. The 256GB version starts at $1,149/£1,149 with the mighty 512GB model at $1,349/£1,349.

The new watch, with a price tag that starts at $399 in the USA and €499 ($580) in Germany, is a more comprehensive health device. Telstra pre-orders will be available fro, 6:01pm AEST on October 19 for shipping on October 26.
