Texas Billboard To Display Anti-Cruz Trump Tweet

To highlight on this hypocrisy, USA Latinx, a political group dedicated to promoting Latinx candidates, launched a GoFundMe to put one of Trump's Cruz-bashing tweets on a billboard. The group, whose fundraising goal was $6,000, said it wants to "remind Texans of the truth".

In another post, he included other tweets Trump posted about Cruz in 2016.

Sen. Cruz is one of the staunchest Second Amendment allies in the Senate. 'He is nervous. People are anxious about his place of birth and his failure to report his loans from banks!'

It is possible that Trump will feel further infuriated with Avenatti's plans, with the president already taking on his client Stormy Daniels in a court case.

"Why would the people of Texas support Ted Cruz when he has accomplished absolutely nothing for them", Trump's tweet reads.

'He was born in Canada, lived there for 4 years-and remained a Canadian citizen until recently, ' Trump wrote.

Avenatti, the lawyer representing adult-film star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against Trump, called on his supporters to "fight fire with fire". You're a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone'.

"It's been a long time since Texas has been electing Democrats", host Steve Kornacki joked, adding that Trump won the state by 9 points in 2018 and that Mitt Romney won it by even more. On Friday, the president announced a "major rally" that would take place in "the biggest stadium in Texas we can find".

Cruz re-tweeted Trump's message, writing: 'Terrific! The Republican Party of Texas learned Wednesday, for example, that if you're going to troll O'Rourke, you better be prepared to get trolled in return. And as a result, the Texas economy is booming!'
