Cardiff City vs Arsenal, Premier League 2018-19

Unai Emery secured his first league victory as Arsenal manager last Saturday against West Ham, but they were worryingly open and susceptible to counter attacks in the first 45 minutes. While the Swiss worldwide can not be blamed entirely for the Bluebirds' equaliser, his inconsistency throughout last season resulted in a number of errors leading into goals - and they have yet to be ironed out.

"I know how hard it will be to win there", he said.

A celebration that caused much consternation during the World Cup clash between Serbia and Switzerland this summer, Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi may be facing trouble of his own for practicing the same celebration after scoring Arsenal's opener in their 3-2 defeat of Cardiff City this afternoon.

Emery's determination to play from the back saw goalkeeper Petr Cech put under huge pressure in the opening minutes. They'll have to win away from home to do so, something they've only done once in their last 10 away Premier League matches.

Laurent Koscielny, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Sead Kolasinac will miss out with long-term injuries for the Gunners.

Also Nathaniel Mendez-Laing is out for three months with a knee injury while Aaron Gunnarsson is also making progress on a knee injury and could be back after the worldwide break. Mesut Ozil is a slight doubt with an illness, according to

"I play like that because I think it's the best way for us to win".

Ramsey began his career at Cardiff, leaving for Arsenal in 2008, and Warnock says he would not blame the Welshman if he is "nervous" about returning.

"Xhaka gives the ball away in his own half, Cardiff pounce on it".

Arsenal were heavily criticised at Chelsea for putting themselves under pressure by constantly trying to play out from the back. The talent should be enough to get Arsenal through this one though.
