Thibaut Courtois missed Chelsea training through stress, says agent

Henrotay said the reason why Courtois missed the two days of training was because he was "a bit stressed by the situation" and while he understands the reaction, supporters must respect the decision given the reason.

Maurizio Sarri's side bossed possession from the outset in West Yorkshire, where it took 20 minutes for Alex Pritchard to muster a shot on target - an attempt that was straight down the barrel and comfortably stopped. We hit the bar twice - once when we were 1-0 down after conceding a very unlucky goal from a deflection. "When he had the opportunity, he had the contract, and it depended on Chelsea taking the decision, but running close to the end of his contract, Chelsea had an interest to find a deal with Madrid, which they did".

"Second half the boys tried everything".

Say what you like about Chelsea's defence and their striking options, yet their midfield shows the Premier League is what they make of it this season.

More flashes of what Chelsea fans can expect from "Sarri-ball" would have been anticipated and they received a brilliant example when Ross Barkley flicked Jorginho's pass into the run of Alonso, who won the penalty from Schindler.

"The second goal we conceded shortly before half-time is a goal which we should never concede".

"I think he (Kepa) did well", Rudiger said. We made a mistake in our frontline that led to the second goal which can not happen.

"Chelsea were very clinical".

"They had four or five chances and scored three goals and we were not able to use our chances".

"But we bought a young goalkeeper, I think one of the most important among young goalkeepers in Europe, so I'm really happy".

Chelsea FC lost 2-0 to Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday to suggest that the Blues will struggle to challenge this term.

"There has been a misunderstanding that he wanted to get a move for the wrong reasons, but he was pushing to go out of Chelsea because of his child", said Henrotay.

"The boys have done well today - not flawless, but well". He did well with that and we as defenders we needed to help him and we did that.
