Brad Pitt has fought back in court against Angelina Jolie's claim that he's a deadbeat dad.

On Tuesday, Jolie's lawyer said Pitt had paid "no meaningful child support" since she filed for divorce in 2016.

Pitt's attorneys said in documents they filed for him that Jolie Pitt's lawyers have made no mention that she had any problems with the amounts he has given her for the children.

"Respondent has previously loaned Petitioner $8.0 million (USD) to assist her in purchasing her current residence and has paid over $1.3 million (USD) in bills for the benefit of Petitioner and the minor children", the court papers stated, according to Entertainment Tonight.

A source went on to claim to UsWeekly that Jolie, who is now filming Maleficent 2 in London, had been forced to return to work making movies in order to cover the costs associated with raising her children.

"What has been filed by Brad's side today is a blatant attempt to obfuscate the truth and distract from the fact that he has not fully met his legal obligations to support the children", the statement read.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce and custody battle is bringing up a lot of frustrations, especially for Brad, who fears his ex-wife's actions may be doing more bad than good for their six children. "As of present, [Pitt] has paid no meaningful child support since separation".
