Beef Between Cam Newton And Kelvin Benjamin Seems to Have Escalated

Less than a week after Kelvin Benjamin blasted former teammate Cam Newton, it appears it could take a while before the hatchet gets buried. A first-round pick by the Panthers in 2014, Benjamin was traded to the Bills midway through last season for a pair of draft picks.

For the Panthers, there were some unresolved issues between Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin.

For those who haven't heard, Benjamin didn't hold back in his public criticism of his former teammate. Benjamin answered questions about the exchange by saying he was "moving on", although when asked what Newton said to him, Benjamin responded, "I don't know". While Newton seemed initially friendly during the meeting, neither man was smiling as Benjamin started to walk away from him. The beef stems from this quote from Benjamin speaking to The Athletic on his time in Carolina. However, the players will finally get a chance for live action as they face the Buffalo Bills in the first preseason game. That is because the Carolina Panthers, like most teams, are likely to limit the amount of playing time for their starters to only a series or two in hopes of avoiding possible injuries to key players. "I should've never went to Carolina".
