Microsoft Movies and TV now supports Movies Anywhere

By connecting your Microsoft account with an account for Movies Anywhere, you'll have access to all eligible movies bought via Microsoft to watch on non-Microsoft devices, and you'll be able to watch films you purchased on other participating services on your Xbox or Windows 10 gadgets. FandangoNow, Fandango's on-demand video service, came aboard in March. By linking those accounts, this pulls content you've purchased through the Microsoft Movies & TV app into Movies Anywhere, giving you easy access to them on multiple devices.

Movies Anywhere and Microsoft are promoting their new relationship with two limited-time offers.

Disney and Microsoft have announced that Movies Anywhere can now be synced with Microsoft accounts. Now, the company has added a badge to the Microsoft Store listings of movies that are compatible with the cross-platform offering from Disney. Movies Anywhere users will get an exclusive sneak peek at a bonus feature from Deadpool 2.

To sweeten the deal, anyone who connects their Microsoft account to the Movies Anywhere service will receive X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is to say, the last mainline, ensemble X-Men movie that was worth a damn. "Movies Anywhere brings your movie collection together quickly and easily, and we're thrilled to share this benefit with Microsoft customers". "We are thrilled that Microsoft now supports Movies Anywhere", said Pedro Gutierrez, director of Microsoft Movies and TV.

Disney has set out to do something pretty ambitions in launching Movies Anywhere, as it wants to provide something of a digital locker for all of your movies - or at least as many as possible.
