Leaked CAD images reveal more iPad Pro design changes

Apple fans will have to wait until September to get their hands on the tech giant's latest iPhones, but a new set of leaked images may give consumers an early peek at what the devices look like.

Ben Geskin reportedly has leaked images of two "dummy" iPhones, one a 6.5-inch X Plus and the other, a 6.1-inch variation.

The models don't show anything particularly surprising.

The dimensions of the new 10.5-inch iPad Pro model, which might also end up becoming the 11-inch model thanks to slimmer bezels will go from 250.6 x 174.1 x 6.1mm to 247.5 x 178.7 x 6mm. While Apple includes a Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter to ease the blow for iPhone users, it will not do the same for iPad Pro users, according to Mac Otakara.

According to longtime Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the 6.1-inch iPhone would retain numerous features used in the iPhone X, but would likely have a cheaper price tag than the 10th anniversary device.

The 6.5-inch device, pictured in white, appears to have a dual-lens camera setup like that of the iPhone X. By reducing the bezels Apple thinks that it will make the tablet's display look bigger. One of them would be the successor to the iPhone X and the other two would be the iPhone 9 and iPhone 9 Plus. However, it is important to note that the upcoming iPhones will come with the 3.5mm headphone jack, this is what the rumours say. The report citing anonymous sources said that the upcoming iPad Pro will ditch home button and sport Face ID technology. But recent rumors have suggested not all those changes will be good.

Apple is widely anticipated to bring slim-bezel 2018 iPad Pro models this year. Meanwhile, the 12.9-inch model is said to be trimmed down to 280mm tall, 215mm wide and 6.4mm thick.

The 6.1-inch phone will feature an aluminium frame similar to the iPhone 8 and the display will be an LCD panel instead of OLED, he predicted.
