Offset nabbed on drug and weapon charges

Offset, who's birth name is Kiari Cephus, is married to Love and Hip Hop star and rapper Cardi B. The pair recently gave birth to a baby girl named Kulture.

Offset of Migos was arrested after a traffic stop near Atlanta on Friday afternoon and was released on bond after posting $17,000 bail, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Yesterday, initial buzz developed about Offset getting arrested on a gun possession charge.

According to Rolling Stone, as originally reported by TMZ, the rapper was initially pulled over for illegally tinted windows, which prompted a search that uncovered at least one gun and less than an ounce of marijuana.

As police approached the vehicle, they detected the smell of marijuana, and when they searched the luxury auto, found three handguns, about an ounce of marijuana and $107,000 in cash, according to reports.

In the still-unfolding saga of Offset's arrest for weapons and marijuana possession, there has been a new development. In May, he crashed his crash after swerving to avoid a collision with another vehicle.

At the time, Offset was taken to hospital for treatment of "minor injuries" after he completely wrecked his green Dodge Challenger.

The "Culture II" rapper later took to social media to share a video of a new auto he had purchased for the innocent bystander who helped to free him from his wrecked vehicle and saved his life.
