The birthday portrait had been taken by photographer Matt Porteous just after Prince Louis' christening earlier in the month.
This photo has been released by Kensington Palace to celebrate the fifth birthday of Prince George. It is believed that the future king will have a grand birthday bash on the islands.
Last week, a previously unseen picture of George being cradled by Prince Charles was included in an exhibition to mark the heir to the throne's 70th birthday in November.
The young prince was seen playing up with his cousin Savannah Phillips, seven, who jokingly put her hand over his mouth. George and sister Princess Charlotte and a clutch of other kids watched over by mum Duchess Kate wore themselves out running around and playing on the grass at one of his father's charity polo matches on June 10, in Gloucester.
George behaved with aplomb at his first official meet-and-greet, when he stayed up past bedtime to shake hands with visiting President Barack Obama at Kensington Palace on April 22, 2016.More news: PM's pre-election shuffle eyes border, trade and bruising provincial relations

First day of school?
Prince George's first day at Thomas's school in Battersea, London was indeed a global event with many comparing it with Prince William's school day accompanied by Lady Diana.
The little prince was very interested in the tail rotor.
The two older siblings have a special bond and accompanied their parents to Canada, Poland and Germany in 2017.
