Indiana Jones 5 delayed yet again, other Disney movies coming

When Indiana Jones 5 was initially announced, Disney and Lucasfilm dated it for July 19, 2019. The latest installment in the long-running franchise was previously set to arrive on July 10, 2020.

Indiana Jones 5, which recently saw production delayed, will now be released July 9, 2021. According to the new THR report, Kasdan won't just be punching up writer David Koepp's existing script, but rather will be responsible for writing a whole new draft.

Spielberg also has a slate of other projects he is now working on, including a remake of musical "West Side Story" and religion drama "The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara".

Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt's Jungle Cruise now will set sail on a week later on October 11, 2019, and Disney had an unspecified live-action title scheduled for May 29, 2020, that has been designated to Maleficent 2.

Ford's most recent movie appearances were in last year's "Blade Runner 2049" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" when he reprised his role as swash-buckling adventurer Han Solo. The timing begs some questions, such as... well, hey, do we really still need to do this?

Back when Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull came out everyone landed in one of two camps: it sucked so much you never wanted another Indy movie, or it sucked so much you desperately wanted another one so they could time wipe it away from existence somehow. Your mileage may vary, but we've yet to be convinced.
