Fiat workers go on strike over Juve's Ronaldo deal

Craving for the love of Juventus fans.

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to move to Juventus. And this last fact is what may have made him head for the shores of Italy.

Real Madrid, Man United and Juventus.

While most of the images published by Juventus have barely passed 400,000 likes, images of Ronaldo have quickly and easily accrued millions of user responses.

There must be an element of that given Ronaldo's age, not so much because of his physical condition, which is superb, but because he has his tried-and-tested methods, and over nine years his Madrid colleagues came to know them intimately. A new television deal will see Juventus earn huge profits.

Ronaldo signed a four-year deal with the Old Lady on Tuesday, bringing an end to his nine-year stint at the Bernabeu. But if any club are able to take on such a loss, it is them.

After admitting he wanted to leave following the final whistle in Real's third Champions League win in a row it's not too surprising that the team have let him go. And why not? 5 time Ballon d'Or victor, Cristiano Ronaldo has officially left the Los Blancos to join the Old Lady, in one of the four most expensive deals of all time. Although regularly linked with a return to the Premier League throughout his five seasons in Spain, he has always dismissed the idea when speaking publicly, at least until falling down the pecking order under Zidane in recent months.

I have had fabulous teammates, both on the field and in the dressing room.

Ronaldo has been a leader for his club and country and can be a ideal star-figure for the others to follow at Turin.

A club as prestigious as Real Madrid have all the resources in the world to target nearly any player, and just as we would expect them to, Los Blancos will be swinging for the fences in their aims to sign a superstar. How will the Serie A kings line up in attack next season? With Ronaldo chipping in, he will either have to settle for a space on the bench or will have to look for a new club.

A penny for your thoughts, Real Madrid?

Instead, Ronaldo will move to Juventus and while Ryan Gigs has suggested that Lionel Messi played a role in the Portuguese talisman's decision to head to Serie A, Balague believes it all boiled down to the fractious relationship between Ronaldo and Real Madrid's president. He rewrote Los Blancos' history and it will require some player to beat that.
