Wales global Harry Wilson has signed a long-term extension with Liverpool after starring for the club's under-23 side.

Leeds United, Stoke City and Derby County had been among the believed front runners to secure his signature, but this latest interest from West Brom may throw a spanner in the works.

Marko Grujic could join newly-promoted Cardiff on loan having spent the second half of last season there, while defender Connor Randall is on the radar of St Mirren boss Alan Stubbs.

The 21-year-old was born in Wrexham and has represented Wales at both youth level and senior level.

"I'm delighted to sign the new deal", he said.

Wilson is likely to be allowed to move on a temporary basis before the transfer window closes. He has not featured for Liverpool since May 2015.
