Arsenal target wants to leave Manchester United

"Manchester United wants to extend Anthony and does not want him to leave but we haven't found agreement for several months".

Anthony Martial hasn't started many games for Manchester United under Jose Mourinho but there's no questioning his potential.

After thinking about all the factors and possibilities, Anthony wants to leave Manchester United.

Arsenal target Anthony Martial has told Manchester United that he wants to leave the club this summer, according to his agent.

The 22-year-old did not get the minutes he expected under the former Chelsea boss in 2017/18 season, which contributed to him missing out on France's squad for the World Cup in Russian Federation.

"Anthony has the choice", he said.

"However, it is quite obvious and it is very important to remember that he is under contract, that Manchester United will have the last word and that we will respect the decision of the club, and he will fulfil his commitment to them".

Later the same month, Mourinho pointedly avoided answering a direct question about Martial's and Marcus Rashford's playing time, per Mike Whalley of the Telegraph.

Martial is under contract for next season and the United also have the option for the 2019-20 season.

The Portuguese manager will gladly let the 22-year-old but only if he can get a decent replacement in.

"We do not have the same vision of Anthony's future".

'He loves the club and the fans, he showed it for three years.

'He was named player of the month three times by the fans. "On top of that, I can tell you that without the fans' unconditional support Anthony would have already asked for a transfer", he added. Then the January transfer window came. Everyone will have their opinion, I think he must resume the course of his career. "He just wants to play, find pleasure, the feeling with the coach will be essential".

Premier League duo Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are said to be interested in the Frenchman whilst Barcelona and Juventus have also been placed into the picture in recent months.
