In Resident Evil 2, the classic action, tense exploration, and puzzle solving gameplay that defined the Resident Evil series returns.

As shown during Sony's E3 2018 press conference, the Resident Evil 2 remake is much more than a new coat of paint, a few features, and fixes to the original game's janky camera system.

The cool thing is that players will be returning to the ominous dark, and zombie-infested streets of Raccoon City. Players can expect fresh take on the stories of Claire and Leon, as they move around the city in a desperate effort to stay alive.

Twenty years ago, Resident Evil 2 was a breakout hit for the original PlayStation and helped solidify the survival horror genre. They must work together to survive and get to the bottom of what is behind the terrifying attack.

With a new over-the-shoulder, third-person camera mode, the game looks to depart from the classic-yet-clunky controls of the original RE games and towards the more modern entries in the franchise. We've been very eager to unveil the new game to the world this week.

Although the Sony branded trailers imply the game is an exclusive, it's actually not and is also being released on Xbox One and PC. "T$3 he characters themselves appear sharper than ever and the grotesque hordes of zombies are brought to life with a horrifyingly realistic wet gore effect", it said.
