E3 2018 EA Play Press Conference Round-Up

Other notable nuggets from the EA Play event are that there are lots of EA SPORTS titles on the way. See https://www.ea.com/games/anthem/pre-order-disclaimer for details.

For the first time in FIFA's history, the prestigious European tournament Champions League is coming to Federation Internationale de Football Association 19.

"So no lootboxes and no ability to pay for power".

Speaking of the story, it does seem familiar to another game, Destiny. "We are going to have some cosmetics and vanity items that you'll be able to purchase, but you're always going to know what you're going to buy before you spend any money on it", Mark Darrah, Executive Producer at BioWare explained (thanks IGN). Federation Internationale de Football Association 19 will release worldwide on all platforms on 28 September 2018. More so when you consider that EA doesn't really have any big games slated for that time of the year. A brand new multiplayer sandbox mode will be coming to the game, tasking players with capturing command posts and taking out capital ships. Battlefront 2 will also get one of the biggest levels ever made in a Star Wars game.

Anthem is a game that has intrigued shooter fans since it's announcement a year ago. Players will be free to roam and find objectives, enemies in groups, take patrol turns in ruins and play in special events, while getting loot drops as results.

In addition to being very versatile and customizable, as promised by Electronic Arts, Anthem title is not meant to include the controversial loot boxes or the ability to spend money to gain in-game advantages. Set on an unfinished world, abandoned by the Gods, players must wear powerful Javelin exosuits to survive.

Lead writer Cathleen Rootsart said the game was "designed so they could add more storylines" - describing how they wanted to build a game which changes every time you play. The game will come out in the first half of 2019 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

After this, EA announced a new Cloud service which enables gamers to play their "favorite titles" across a wide variety of platforms. This new sequel will feature two Yarny character and is supposed to be more "friendlier" and "challenging" than the previous version.

EA's World War II shooter game recently unveiled that the new edition of Battlefield will feature a new multiplayer battle royale mode. While the specifics of the gameplay have yet to be ironed out, it looks to be a sea-based game telling an emotional story about how loneliness can turn people into monsters.
