The Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite - the next chapter of the legendary franchise just announced at the Xbox E3 2018 press conference!

Microsoft promised to have one of their biggest shows in history for E3 2018.

Halo is Microsoft's most recognizable exclusive franchise.

On stage, Phil Spencer said the game will see players joining Master Chief "on his greatest adventure yet to save humanity".

Halo 6 has been confirmed to be in development for a while, but this is the first we've seen of it publicly after a conspicuous absence from E3 previous year.

A small but interesting detail, at least to us, was the reveal of the "Slipspace" engine, which will power this new Halo game.

It was nice to see something new from the Halo franchise, as it is definitely Microsoft's top franchise. You'll have to wait a bit longer, Halo fans. Will it have both a strong single and multiplayer component like past entries?

That's right, Master Chief is back!
