Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Arriving Holiday 2019

Respawn Entertainment is working on a new Star Wars game called "Jedi Fallen Order", publisher Electronic Arts teased during its E3 press conference on Saturday.

What Zampella did tell us is that the game will be set in between Episodes III and IV when the Jedis were being hunted down to extinction.

Studio head Vince Zampella also stated that the game will be released in Holiday 2019 but they're not going to be showing much more of it until their big blowout next year. It also brings up the possibility of an actual Star Wars canon story to go along with it - oh what fun! At this point, Respawn did not confirm which platforms the game will be released on or if the game is single-player or multiplayer.

Dan Casey is the senior editor of Nerdist and the author of books about Star Wars and the Avengers.

In addition to the name and setting, Zampella said that the game is now targeting a release window of Holiday 2019, though no exact platforms for the game were announced at this time.

Respawn had previously announced momentum on this new third-person action-adventure game in 2016 with former God of War director Stig Asmussen at the helm.

Hopefully, Jedi Fallen Order will be a polished experience when it launches next year.
