Meghan Markle's father will not attend royal wedding


Mr Markle is also said to have suffered a heart attack just days ago, The Sun reports. But the following day, he reversed course and said he didn't want to miss it.

Meghan Markle's father Thomas features prominently on the front pages on Tuesday over reports that he may not be walking his daughter down the aisle on Saturday.

According to U.S. gossip site The Blast, Patrick will be one of the few members of the cast to join Meghan on her special day, after she lost contact with many of her former co-workers.

Here are some of the possibilities.

While the soon-to-be royal bride is certainly entitled to her opinion, one hopes her comments will be left behind when she becomes actual royalty.

The announcement was met with an outpouring of support for both Ms Markle and her father on social media.

Harry will be joined by his brother and best man, Prince William at the lavish Coworth Park Hotel, while Meghan and her mother will stay at the Cliveden House Hotel.

Her mother, Doria Ragland (61) a social worker and yoga teacher who lives in Los Angeles, is expected to accompany her daughter in the bridal vehicle. He is divorced from Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, who also is planning on traveling with her daughter to the wedding. Harry has yet to meet his fiance's father.

One source told the Mail last night that Mr Markle was "very unwell", adding: 'He is under significant stress.

With its dramatization of the couple's love story, the network cashed in on the excitement surrounding the upcoming royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

In 2016, the Edinburgh University student graced the cover of Tatler magazine, which dubbed her the "most lovely member of the Royal Family". Princess Margaret had her brother-in-law walk her down the aisle because her father, King George VI, had died before the wedding.

Harry and Ms Markle personally approved the set, as did the prince's grandmother, the Queen, who had the final say.

It is even possible Markle will walk herself down the aisle.

Yet Markle had reportedly been excited to give his daughter away at her wedding to Price Harry.

The change in plans comes after a scandal in which Thomas Markle admitted to accepting money from paparazzi, who took pictures of him supposedly getting ready for the wedding.

In an announcement that appears to have come as a complete surprise to Kensington Palace, Mr Markle told American media that he would not attend the wedding at Windsor Castle on Saturday because he didn't want to embarrass his daughter any further.
