A weak-looking Manohar Parrikar addressed a convention of BJP booth workers by video in which the Goa Chief Minister said he was looking forward to returning to the state in a few weeks.
Trying to put to rest all kinds of speculations doing the rounds for last two months, Shah assured complete stability in the coalition government even in the absence of ailing Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is now undergoing treatment in USA. This is the first video message of Chief Minister since March, when he was shifted to U.S. for advance medical treatment.
Wearing a white shirt with his trademark spectacles dangling from the neck, Parrikar, who is now taking treatment in the United States, said for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be re-elected to power with a full majority at the Centre in 2019, it was imperative that Goa returns its two BJP MPs to the Lok Sabha.
Parrikar has not been well since 14 February. Today, the party workers and legislators assembled at the memorial of Bandodkar and "prayed" that the ruling dispensation led by the BJP appoint a full-time chief minister, he said.More news: Italy's new government makes economic promises

"The BJP will form the government in Karnataka on May 15 evening after the results", he said. He added that to bring Modi government back in power the party has to win both Lok Sabha seats in Goa. I will be back in Goa in the next few weeks.
Later speaking, BJP National President Amit Shah remembered Parrikar and informed that before addressing the convention, he had a telephonic conversation with the latter.
Trying to boost the morale of the booth workers, Shah said that the confidence amongst the workers is reflected in the leaders but when they are discouraged even the leader feels the same.
Recalling Parrikar's tenure as defence minister, Shah described him as a "hardworking person with a grip on administration". "The entire country was shocked. After America and Israel, India is now counted amongst the nation which takes revenge of death of its soldiers", he said.
