Gas Prices Rise 1.6 Cents In Chattanooga

Gas prices are up 49 cents in Florida as compared to a year ago, according to the American Automobile Association (AAA).

AAA officials said people traveling Memorial Day weekend will likely see pump prices at their highest level since 2014.

That means access to their oil fields is cut off.

Nationally, gas prices have risen a little over 5 cents per gallon, with an average of $2.86/gallon. In Jacksonville, Monday morning's average for a gallon of regular was $2.792.

Traverse City had the lowest average gas price at $2.85 per gallon, while Ann Arbor's $2.97 was the highest.
