Joe Burrow To Transfer From Ohio State


The Ohio State quarterback took to twitter on Tuesday to announce that he is in fact entering the grad transfer market.

In his announcement, Burrow said he has been "struggling with this decision" for weeks and he will choose his next team in the "coming weeks".

"After weeks of struggling with this decision, I have chose to leave Ohio State and explore other options". Ohio State has all kinds of skill-position toys for Haskins to play around with assuming he does win the starting job this summer. May. He has two years of eligibility remaining. There were corners of the OSU universe which were calling for Haskins to start over J.T. Barrett during the 2017 season, though that did not ultimately come to pass. Tate Martell will be the the backup, but he redshirted last season, his first on campus. The long quarterback in this winter's recruiting class is four-star Matthew Baldwin, who enrolled in classes earlier this year but is recovering from a knee injury he suffered in the Texas state playoffs.

Burrow grew up in Athens in southeastern Ohio, where his father, Jimmy, is the longtime defensive coordinator for coach Frank Solich at Ohio University.

Upon arriving at Ohio State, Burrow spent all three years behind Barrett.

Burrow graduated Sunday with a degree in family resource management.
